I had a wonderful experience working with Ellyn, owner of Ellyn Estate Sales, to organize and conduct estate sales for my client. It was a challenging task as my client, an 86-year-old widower with mild-moderate dementia, had to sell his beloved condo on the intracoastal and let go of his prized possessions, which were full of memories from his travels with his partner of 40 years who passed away in 2021. Being out-of-state, his family was very concerned about his well-being and wanted to ensure that he was not being taken advantage of.

When I first reached out to local agencies for estate sales, I was clueless about how to value my client’s possessions. After calling a few companies and sending them photos, I finally found Ellyn, who was willing to come out to the property to see everything before accepting the job. During her visit, she showed great knowledge about the origin and value of my client’s possessions.  This made my client very comfortable, and they immediately hit it off.

Ellyn accepted the job and helped organize two estate sales on my client’s property over a period of six weeks. Throughout the process, she was patient, compassionate, and respectful towards my client, who wanted to be a part of everything despite normally being asked to leave during estate sales. Ellyn understood how difficult it was for him to let go of his independent lifestyle and and needed to transition to Assisted Living.  She treated him like a grandfather, and he completely trusted her.

Ellyn went above and beyond the call of duty and made the entire process easy for me. I couldn’t have handled the huge undertaking without her. She was an absolute joy to work with and we became friends. I have since referred other clients to Ellyn, and they have been very happy with her services.
